I wish you were with me today as we shared the Word of God and the Good News of Messiah with both Ethiopian Jews and Chassidic (Ultra-orthodox) Jews from Russia.

It was a busy day as I first met with Ethiopian Jews up in the North between the cities of Sefad and Tiberias and then we did some outreach 2.5 hours away, down in Jerusalem.

Na’im ma’od” (It’s a pleasure to meet you), Kobi said to me when I met him early in the morning as I was taking a walk and praying. He told me that he was a new immigrant to Israel and that he lived in an absorption center just down the road with about 300 other Ethiopian Jews who had immigrated to Israel. His Hebrew wasn’t very good, (the mother tongue of Ethiopia is Amharic) but he spoke basic English so we were able to communicate.

Ethiopia was a very hard place to live, I did not have a job, and we barely had food to eat. I thank the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob for being here – I love Israel,” he said with a huge smile on his face, holding his hands upwards towards God.

Since 1948 when Israel became a nation again, 78,933 Ethiopian Jews have immigrated to the Holy Land.

Many of the Ethiopian Jews, when they come to Israel become Orthodox Jews and begin to wear a kippa (skullcap) so that they can get financial help from the religious government agencies and from the Orthodox Jewish communities. However, they are just learning about Judaism as it is all new to them.

Kobi, do you know that in the Tanakh (Old Testament) the prophet Isaiah says: ‘In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea.’

Isaiah 11:11

“Yes, we know this prophecy and that it speaks about us and how God has re-gathered us back from Cush to our homeland here in Eretz Israel,” Kobi replied.

“There are many more prophecies in the Bible,” I told Kobi. “Two thirds of the Tanakh was written by the ancient Jewish Prophets and there are many prophecies about Israel and also about the Jewish Messiah. Do you know anything about the Messiah of Israel?” I asked Kobi.

“No I do not know anything but I want to learn,” Kobi replied. “Zev can you please come back to my home so that you can meet my friends?” he asked.

Within a couple of minutes we were at the absorption center where he lives. As we approached the gates, three of his friends greeted us and Kobi introduced them to me.

Zev, I want you to tell me and my friends about these prophecies,” Kobi said.

Their knowledge of Judaism was very limited and unlike many Israelis, they had no objections to Yeshua (Jesus), so they just soaked in everything that I had to say!

I shared with them from the Holy Scriptures for six hours! It would have only been three hours, but Kobi had to translate everything into “Amharic” so that they could understand.

With great joy and excitement, Kobi and Yonathan told me that they accepted Yeshua as they confessed that Yeshua had taken away their sins!

Please pray for them so that they will grow in their faith and spread this Good News of salvation to the other 300 Ethiopian Jews that live in their absorption center!

Ministering at Shantipi in the North

to Jerusalem in the South

Yesterday about seventy (70) Israeli Messianic Evangelists (Outreach Workers) drove to the Shantipi festival to spread the Gospel. The festival is for Israelis of all different “spiritual backgrounds,” predominantly “New Age,” to celebrate their faith. These Israelis are spiritual but obviously they are entrapped in worshipping false gods, so the Israeli Messianic Evangelists just had to take this opportunity to spread the Gospel Truth.

There were 3500-5000 people at the festival who camped out for three days under the stars. The 70 evangelists did a great job of distributing Messianic literature and sharing the Gospel.

About 15 people accepted Yeshua as their Savior, with thousands more receiving Messianic literature. Hundreds of Israelis were prayed for and ministered to, through the power of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). Baruch, one of the Israeli evangelists was so excited about ministering to people that over the three day festival he only got two hours of sleep each night. He stayed up praying and ministering to people through the wee hours of the morning because so many of these Israelis who were into “New Age” were so hungry to learn more about Yeshua.

Many of these 70 evangelists who live in towns and cities throughout Israel are desperately waiting for the Messianic Prophecy Bible so that they can witness to people more effectively, and leave them with a Free Hebrew Prophecy Bible.

I met up with Stephen, one of the outreach workers, later in the day in Jerusalem. He is seen in this photo ministering to Shimon (Simon), a Chassidic (Ultra-orthodox) Jewish man of Russian descent. He asked him, “Shimon, do you know who the Messiah is?” He responded, “Ani lo yodaya (I do not know).”

Stephen continued to witness to Shimon but in the end he just handed him some literature about Yeshua, and sometimes that is all that can be done, when a Chassidic person does not want to engage in a long conversation about Yeshua. However you never know when they will read the literature.

Stephen had to leave for another meeting, so I continued to minister to Shimon who opened up to me, and I was able to share with him some of the Messianic Prophecies.

There are a number of “secret” Chassidic Believers in Jerusalem and there is a small group of them from Jerusalem’s Mea Shearim community that meet together. If they are found out in their ultra-orthodox communities, they will be thrown out of their homes by their wives, lose their families, jobs, and friends. Many of them actually fear for their lives if they are “found out.” A few years ago one Chassidic man was stoned by his wife and children for his faith in Yeshua. The man did not die, but he was severely injured.

However this is foretold by Yeshua in Matthew 10: 34-37 as he says: “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household. Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

I am asking you Today to please give the best gift you can. Reaching the Jewish people is a priority and what is at stake is either (a) heaven or (b) hell for the people of Israel. You can make a difference today. I believe that the Lord will bless you greatly when you bless Israel with your sacrificial giving.

Time is short, as we are in the end-times so please click here now so that we can help the people of Israel find their Messiah and everlasting life.

With all my brotherly love in Yeshua
